Easy Listening Pianist

Ironically, Conrad Askland is well known as a record producer of hardcore music for punk and heavy metals bands. "To me, music is just different colors", says Askland. "There are basic emotions that are expressed in music. Then these basic emotions are expressed in different idioms."

Easy listening does not necessarily mean "lacking passion" and is not a synonym for "elevator music".
