Conrad - Greetings from North Carolina! I am the head of a fine Music Theatre program at Elon University and I am directing Brigadoon in the fall. I wish you weren’t so far away as I would love to see your production! The show seems sooooo long. Are you making any musical cuts?
Thanks for your help –Cathy McNeela

Hi Cathy,
Check out my “Brigadoon” section here on my blog under the “Shows” category. Lots of info there for you.
My list of cuts is on my musician page at: http://www.conradaskland.com/b.....cian-page/
Cuts were fairly light, only on a couple dance numbers to shorten a bit for choreography. We also have a couple sections where real bagpipes take over for the orchestra.
Yes, the show is long. It’s that very rich classic Broadway sound and I just love the orchestration.
