I was reading on that link about Buck Owens, the Bakersfield Sound, the death of his guitar wingman Don Rich, and the revival of his career with Dwight Yoakum. I’ve had the opportunity to meet quite a few country music artists and generally have acted real “cool” until I met Buck Owens at the CMA golf tournament in Burbank a few years back. I totally lost it and acted like the typical screaming, blubbering fan…he just laughed and gave me a hug. He was an awesome man!
