Meet Darrin Johnson - drummer for Cirque Du Soleil’s show at the Sands Venetian in Macau, China. He’s wacky, he’s crazy and lays down a groove that can stop a freight train. (I know that doesn’t make sense, but it’s supposed to sound like cool musician talk).

DJ comes from Denver, CO where he has worked as a funk drummer in club and corporate gigs as well as praise music for church. Darrin has been a drummer most of his life and is very excited about this opportunity. In years past, he has been a performing musician in Denver, Colorado with local bands, such as Jakarta, Dotsero, Nelson Rangell and the Rob Mullins band. He has performed on many artists’ CDs and has also been a standing musician at Mile Hi Church of Religious Science.

He’s a great addition to the Cirque band and one of my favorite people.
