Be A Music Producer

If you want to be a music producer then you need to produce music. Whatever it takes for you to produce music, then that's what you need to do.

For me, I usually need to be alone. I don't have to be in a particular location, just alone. I've composed some of my best pieces outside next to a garbage dumpster at my studio.

It always amazes me when I get e-mails that say "I want to be a singer". My response is: "Poof...you're a singer". It's silly. What makes more sense is to say "I want to be a singer that's the best for modern blues" or something like that.

If you can't SEE what you are going to be then it's usually difficult to become it. Visualize what you want to do, see yourself doing it. This alone is empty, you must also study diligently and spend every moment in the furthering and improvement of your understanding to the technique and art of audio.

You must sacrifice everything.
